Throtl.com E-Commerce Design

Full e-commerce and community platform design for throtl.com — desktop and mobile.

The Objective

To design a complete visual system for throtl.com—an e-commerce platform and community hub for automotive enthusiasts. The design needed to unify a high-volume parts marketplace, a membership/VIP program, community classifieds, and a headline car-giveaway program into one cohesive, conversion-focused experience across desktop and mobile.

The Scope

Full E-Commerce UI/UX Design, Responsive Web Design (Desktop & Mobile), Design System, a 30+ Page Template Library, and Brand Application—delivered on a freelance basis.

The Execution

Working as a freelance designer, I designed the entire throtl.com storefront in Photoshop, from the core commerce templates through every supporting and legal page. I built the shopping flow—homepage, category collections, product detail, and cart—around a Year/Make/Model vehicle selector and a bold orange-and-black brand palette. Beyond the store, I designed the community and marketing surfaces (car-giveaway landing pages, VIP membership, sponsorships, partners, military discount) and a full library of supporting templates (account, contact, fitment guide, 404, and every policy page), then adapted the core experience into a dedicated mobile layout set.

The Impact

The design shipped as throtl.com’s public storefront and served the brand for roughly five years before its next refresh—providing a durable, scalable visual foundation that supported the company’s growth from a parts retailer into an enthusiast community platform.
