MOMO Heritage Livery Concept

Concept GT racing livery for MOMO — every graphic cites a historic MOMO race car.

The Objective

To develop a concept motorsport livery for MOMO on a modern Ferrari 458 GT platform—a presentation piece that translated the brand’s decades of racing heritage into a single, contemporary, championship-ready design.

The Scope

Concept Livery Design, Motorsport Brand Research, Multi-View Vehicle Graphic Application, Heritage Analysis, and Art Direction.

The Execution

Operating as the Lead Design & Account Manager at Lightcapturers, and working from supplied historical research, I studied MOMO’s most iconic racing programs and distilled each into a single, citable design cue. Every graphic element on the 458 traces back to a documented MOMO livery: the yellow rear wing of the 1977 Porsche 935, the squared logo lockup of the 1978 935, the arrow motif of the 1981 935 “Moby Dick,” the hood contour lines of the 1989 Porsche 962, the cockpit outline of the 1993 Nissan NPT-90, and the race numbers of the 1998 Ferrari 333SP at the Rolex 24. I rendered the design across full front, rear, side, and top-down views in MOMO’s signature red-and-yellow to present it as a complete, wrap-ready package.

The Impact

The concept demonstrated how a heritage motorsport brand can be re-expressed on a modern GT car without losing its lineage—every mark earns its place through a specific historical reference. It stands as a research-backed presentation piece connecting brand archaeology to production-ready vehicle graphics.
